Claris begins to journey deeper into the Night Dimension, sending her down a deep rabbit hole into its secrets. While Claris begins her descent into the dream world, Elliot gets wrapped up in the Waking World with a group who become interested in his dream life upon the escape of one of their discoveries.
Meanwhile in the past, a carefree Nightmaren learns the purpose of his creation and must face what is expected of him without defiance, or face imprisonment at the hands of his creator.
⊹₊⟡⋆—Plot
100 years ago, NiGHTS rebelled against his creator, Wizeman the Wicked, fleeing Nightmare with two red Ideya clutched in his hands. A lone visitor witnesses the events.
On the 101st celebration of Twin Seeds, one year after their centennial, Claris Sinclair begins to receive strange visions from a being in the waking world asking for her help.
Elliot, meanwhile, is approached by Roger who seems to have had a change of heart after being contacted by a known scientific organization in Twin Seeds known as R.E.M.

- this fic is basically an expanded and reworked version of the past events featuring claris and elliot that were in the previous version of shattered hope.
- takes a lot of inspo and things from the archie comics
- this originally was 'shattered growth' but swapped titles due to each story fitting the other much better to me.
- this was a veryyy claris centered story at conception but i think i am going to try to bounce between their povs each chapter because i LOVE stories that do that
- the plot itself will touch on NiGHTS' rebellion, Selph, and the dream gates history.
